ConocoPhillips posted third-quarter earnings and revenue that were above analysts' expectations on Tuesday.
The company reported $1.77 earnings per share on $11.62 billion in revenue. Analysts predicted EPS of $1.51 on revenue of $10.71 billion. ConocoPhillips' stock has risen 86 % since the start of the year, but it is still 4.28 % off its 52-week high of $77.98 reached on October 25. They have outperformed the S&P 500, which has gained 23.02 % since the beginning of the year.
Following the release of the news, ConocoPhillips' stock rose 0.07 % in intraday trading.
Exxon Mobil posted earnings of $1.58 per share on revenue of $73.79 billion on Friday, above expectations of $1.56 per share on revenue of $71.13 billion.
Chevron surpassed forecasts on Friday, reporting $2.96 EPS on $44.71 billion in sales, versus an estimate of $2.2 EPS on $39.97 billion.
