Shopify, a Canadian e-commerce platform, is partnering with leading cloud businesses including Microsoft and Oracle to help merchants streamline their operations.
On the Shopify app, business owners may now access Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Oracle NetSuite, and Infor.
Previously, they had to rely on third-party apps to connect their ERP tools, which ranged from financial trackers to inventory management systems, to Shopify.
Shopify is a company that provides infrastructure for retailers to build up online storefronts, and it makes money mostly via subscriptions and merchant services.
The alliances will allow Microsoft and Oracle to enhance their positions in a cloud market dominated by Amazon, as well as help Shopify expand its fast-growing merchant operations.
