According to the Associated Press, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has asked Tesla why it has not filed recall paperwork after updating its autopilot driving system.

According to the Associated Press, US highway safety investigators advised Tesla that if an over-the-internet software update mitigates a safety fault, a recall is required, according to an NHTSA letter given to Tesla on Tuesday.
