This month Tesla are releasing a major upgrade to its driver assistant software FSD-beta, this feature is aimed at city driving. The new feature is very new and will be only available to Tesla owners whose "driving record" is rated safest. Tesla has been testing this feature with a small number of owners, who have been testing it on the public roads, which has started to gain popularity and negative speculation.
Tesla owners can buy the Full Self Driving software for $10,000 or monthly payments.
Tesla has ensured that when using this feature the driver must be fully aware with their hands on the wheel, however, there have been cases of Tesla's crashing whilst on autopilot mode, however, these cases have been when the driver has been doing something else, whilst driving.
Tesla owners can request this mode but they will be evaluated on their driving history to judge whether they will be able to gain access or not.
