GoDaddy, a web hosting firm, stated on Monday that an unauthorized third-party access has exposed the email addresses of up to 1.2 million current and inactive Managed WordPress customers.

The problem was discovered on Sept. 6, according to the corporation, and the third party accessed the system using a hacked password.

In a filing, Chief Information Security Officer Demetrius Comes claimed,

The company, whose stock dropped 1.6 % in early trading, said it had barred the illegal third party right away and that an inquiry was ongoing.
