The yen rose for the first time in four sessions after Japan's top currency official warned that recent falls have been rapid and one-sided. Following a two-day decline, the New Zealand dollar rose, outperforming most G-10 peers. Traders in the US short-term interest-rate market are abandoning the notion that the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates in 2023, fueling a mass exodus from dovish bets hedging such a scenario.
