A US dollar index rose as traders wagered that even if the Federal Reserve stops raising interest rates in September, policy will remain tight to avoid a spike in inflation. The yen has dropped to its lowest level versus the euro since 2008. Traders will keep an eye on RBA's Gov. Lowe, his successor RBA's Bullock, and other officials when they testify before a parliamentary committee on a semi-annual basis.
