Good Morning Traders! It's the end of a long week for Europe and the beginning of earnings season!

Here is what to expect from the session.

Sentiment

Given that inflation is higher than anticipated, the Bank of Japan will likely change its yield curve management programme at its policy meeting this month, according to a former executive director at the bank. When the Bank of Japan examines the outlook later this month, it is expected to increase its inflation projection for this fiscal year ending in March from the current 1.8% to more than 2%, the Yomiuri newspaper writes without providing sources.

Governor of the Federal Reserve Christopher Waller stated that he anticipates the US central bank would need to increase interest rates twice more this year in order to reduce inflation to its target, however additional positive pricing data may prevent the need for the second increase.

Due to supply interruptions in Africa and a decrease in shipments from Russia, oil was expected to increase for a third consecutive week.
