Good Morning Traders! It is Wednesday the 15th of March, the day we get UK OBR Forecasts and French HICP data.

Here are some things to look out for ahead of today.

Sentiment

The failure of Silicon Valley Bank and the seizure of Signature Bank by state regulators, according to Federal Reserve Governor Michelle Bowman, have not affected the stability of the US banking sector. Following the failure of three lenders, the Federal Reserve is thinking about altering its regulations for midsize banks. This might mean extending limitations that currently only apply to the biggest Wall Street firms, according to the Wall Street Journal.

As the Covid limitations were lifted, consumer spending and investment both increased in the first two months of the year, strengthening China's economic growth. For the second consecutive month, China's central bank increased the amount of cash it put into the banking system as demand for loans increased along with the economy's slow but steady recovery.

At its operations on Wednesday, the Bank of Japan offered to purchase fewer longer-dated notes than originally intended as yields fell once traders cut their bets on Federal Reserve rate increases.

Following the failure of Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank, Senate Banking Committee Chairman Sherrod Brown stated on Tuesday that he sees little chance that Congress will tighten banking regulations. Instead, he is urging the Federal Reserve to take unilateral action to impose stricter regulations and halt interest rate increases.
