The dollar edged higher as Treasury yields fell.
The euro fell after data showed that Spanish inflation did not slow in December, while the Norwegian krone rose after the central bank of Norway announced a reduction in the pace of its foreign currency purchases in January.
After a feverish nine-week rally that has put the Nasdaq 100 index on track for its best year since 1999, US equity futures are little changed.
